Man + Prayer = Action

This morning I woke up in Lusaka. We arrived here last night at about 19:00 after a long day spent on the road from Livingstone. Marius and Liomee Vosloo (Super Amazing Couple) received us and arranged for us to stay over at a local airbnb. We have been camping since our departure in South Africa (that’s about a week ago), so spending the night on a bed was glorious!!
Whilst in Livingstone I once again became aware of the excitment that is brewing in my heart. As Iooked on at the statue of David Livingstone and pondered on his great exploits, I found my own resolve to risk great things for the Lord increase.

I am prepared to go  anywhere, provided it is forward.

– David Livingstone

We have met so may interesting people on our tavels. From other internationals to South Africans teaching all over the world. Our encounters have been refreshing and the conversations have been diverse and very stimulating.

No wonder God is so into ALL the different nations and its peoples….

Travels for today.

The next couple of days from tomorrow onwards we will be travelling through Malawi. Please continue in prayer concerning our journey. The Lord is SO faithful and has provided in many different ways. Financially through many generous gifts. Safe and unhindered travels and even new friendships to name but a few.

Travels remaining to Nairobi

Today we’ll reach the halfway mark of our journey and seeing that we have quite a long way still to go, I’ll say good buy with the following qoute.

If you have men who will only come if they know there is a good road, I don’t want them. I want men who will come if there is no road al all.

– David Livingstone

Let’s be willing to GO regardless of what is known or unknown, chartered or unchartered, all for the pursuit of God’s glory and worship throughout all the earth!

Regards and many blessings

A Light Bulb at Sea

When I look around, I see.

I realise that we are all on our own unique journey, yet our individual journeys cannot exist without being connected to the journeys of others. This inherently means that I am dependent on the people around me and even those people that are not directly involved in my life.

This thought also means that someone is dependent on my life’s journey. Someone who I might be unaware of.

“In what way?” you may ask.

If my life were to shine like the light bulb hanging from my ceiling it would mean that someone might just be able to navigate using my life as a source of light whilst on their own journey. It may also come to pass that I might have the privilege to sit in someone else’s light and better define my own life’s calling.

What if my life could be like the sea, embracing people as the ocean does the casual bather, even the occasional surfer. Imagine the healing that our lives could bring to one another just because of the essence of who we are. Have you ever seen what salt water does to a wound? It doesn’t choose to heal, healing comes by default.

“One’s life only really finds meaning when you spend it on others.”

Just a thought….
